Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem:
We will not abandon the campaign, we will turn it into hell for “Israel”, we will respond to the aggression and violations, and we will not return to what was before March 2nd.
The Iranian-American agreement, which includes the cessation of aggression against Lebanon, is almost the strongest card for stopping the aggression.
We stand against the Israeli army, which is supported by the United States and other countries acting in their own interests.
Facing these great forces is a group limited in means and manpower, but we believe that divine assistance will lead to victory.
We express our appreciation to Iran for its support for Lebanon and its people, and we thank any party that will help stop the fighting. However, the responsibility for conducting negotiations to achieve Lebanon’s sovereign goals lies with the Lebanese government.
The current campaign is seen as an attempt to subjugate Lebanon and expand Israeli control over the region.
We will not cease defending Lebanon and its people, and we will persist in doing so regardless of the length of time or the extent of the sacrifice required. Ultimately, the other side will be forced to retreat.
The call is for indirect negotiations only, which would allow Lebanon to maintain its bargaining chips, while opposing direct negotiations that are perceived as giving concessions without return.
The issue of weapons, resistance, and the management of Lebanon’s internal affairs is a purely internal matter and is not up for discussion with external parties or within the framework of negotiations.
After achieving the main objectives, Lebanon will work to regulate the internal situation through a national security strategy that utilizes all of its power components.
The goal of the activity is to curb aggression and disrupt the enemy’s plans until he recognizes our rights.
We will continue to operate in this arena until we achieve our goals, with God’s help.
