TAJMAHAL A Monument of Love
The Taj Mahal is a magnificent white marble mausoleum. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built it as a monumet of love in memory for his beloved second wife Mumtaz Mahal. She died during childbirth in 1631. Today, people of the world think it as one of the world’s most remarkable symbols of love and devotion.
The construction of the Taj Mahal took more than 20 years and involved thousands of skilled workers and craftsmen. They decorated the monument with exquisite details, including delicate marble screens and pietra dura designs made with colorful semiprecious stones. It is more than 200 feet (60 meters) into the sky. The Taj Mahal is the tallest Mughal tomb .People consider it as one of the finest achievements of Mughal architecture. People think it as a monument of love that had been ever built.
The Taj Mahal forms the central part of a vast complex. It locates along the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra. The complex includes elegant buildings, spacious courtyards, beautiful gardens, and carefully designed waterways. Remarkably, much of the original landscape has survived, allowing visitors to experience the monument much.
