Tupperware, a global brand in food storage, kitchenware and serving, launched its operation in Bangladesh on Saturday to grab the untapped market in the segment. The company, based in US, introduced a wide range of products for the local market ata press conference held in Ruposhi Bangla Hotel. Uniqueness of Tupperware lies in its selling method as it does not sell in retail. The company adopts a “Tupperware Party” method for sale. It involves Tupperware sales force getting a group of women together in homes and setting up a fun oriented product demonstration. This method effectively brings out the features and benefits of the products and thus convinces prospective customer to buy its product. The company provides commission to the seller.
